An Autumn Prayer

An invitation to dance the autumn wind
Confused the leaves resist then tremble
Waiting patiently to turn autumnal
The final dance in a whirling frenzy
As each leaf dies and learns to fly
With each death there is a word
And with each word I summon thee
Round I spin with each textured colour
Arms out wide to catch the whirling fair
To bring forth life from the dreams I weave
So I may know the silence of calm reprieve.
